4th year Biological Science student, Trent, is specializing in Environmental Toxicology and making the most of his time at UOIT – including a co-op placement with the Ministry of Environment. Here’s what he shares: “The most important hands-on experiences that this program provided me with has to be the labs and co-op opportunities. Coupled with a proactive work ethic, the labs provided the exact skills needed in a workplace environment. They prepared me for my co-op placement, and it was there that I further developed my skills and provided me with a unique opportunity to connect with possible future career contacts.
UOIT has helped me prepare for my future by creating the best possible learning environment I could ever ask for… I wouldn’t be where I am right now without the professors and advisors that have helped me along the way… Between passionate professors, practical labs, detailed class content, and the state-of-the-art technologies to work with at UOIT, I believe I have made the best choice in getting my university education at UOIT.”
