As a student-athlete, it’s imperative to learn financial literacy and career paths! That said, we welcome to our starting lineup: Mr. Glenn Cook who will give some framework and correlation between personal to corporate finance as well as goal setting to career paths. Mr. Cook will be a speaker at Game Changers Leadership and Peer Mentoring Initiative Summit & Combine on May 18th, at Youngstown State University.
Mr. Cook has steadily advanced within the Cleveland Browns’ organization, now in his third season as the Assistant General Manager and Vice President of Player Personnel. His promotion to Vice President of Player Personnel in 2022 is a testament to his dedication and expertise. In his current role, Cook works closely with Executive Vice President of Football Operations and General Manager Andrew Berry, contributing to all roster and strategic football decisions. He also oversees the day-to-day operations of the player personnel department, leading the free agency and draft processes and assisting in managing the team’s football operational functions. Before his professional career, Cook made a significant impact as a collegiate athlete. As a four-year letterman linebacker at The University of Miami (Fla.) from 2004 to 2008, he played 47 games and made 17 starts, concluding his career with 185 tackles. His leadership skills were recognized when he led the team in tackles as a senior captain in 2008, earning Miami’s Plumer Memorial Award for leadership, motivation, and spirit, as well as the Melching Award for leadership. After his time with the Hurricanes, Cook was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 46th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball MLB Draft and played in 34 rookie league games for the club.
Cook holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management and a master’s in sports administration from Miami.

Welcome former football and baseball standout, Glenn Cook!
