Time for another #InternPerspectives! See why a Protiviti internship gave Manager David Wu everything he wanted in this type of opportunity:

"My biggest impression of Protiviti’s internship program was how friendly everyone was. The speakers were leaders of the firm, and I was impressed that they had taken the time to present and connect with us. It made me feel like I was not just another worker in the firm, what I did mattered, and leaders recognized that and gave us real work to do, not just ‘busy work.’ During the happy hour events after the presentations, the speakers were always willing to talk to me about what they did at Protiviti.

Another aspect of the program that was very significant for me was the training around ‘soft skills.’ As a computer engineering graduate, my college experience was about solving technical problems, so this was new. Learning to hone my soft skills was a great introduction to my career as a consultant and suggested that Protiviti cared about my personal growth.

During my internship, I was given three separate projects to work on, and the project teams worked around me so that I could try different things and figure out what I wanted to focus on. The level of support was excellent and set the tone for my career with Protiviti. I never felt like I was competing against anyone, and six years later, that’s still true. We’re all part of a team, and my managers are genuinely interested in supporting me. My internship gave me everything I wanted."
