## Caption

35 years ago this month, Sandy Lyle won the Open Championship at Royal St George's Golf Club. He became the first golfer from Great Britain to win the Open since Tony Jacklin in 1969, and the first Scot to win the Claret Jug since Tommy Armour in 1931. Seen here are several items relating to his victory in 1985: his Claret Jug, the Challenge Belt presented to Lyle, and his dual wedge used during competition at the Open. #artifactspotlight #MemberofTheMonth
