Unboxing! 🎉 Every business is wanting to get people’s attention with their product. And often that starts with getting the attention of people who have influence on social media. If you’re watching this reel, then you know why, it’s just how information gets out now. thegrilldads have a new cookbook out and they are a great example of knowing how to get the word out. (No surprise- have you watched their Food Network show or follow them on Instagram? They are no rookies. And bonus! Hilarious.)

When you have a product that’s beautiful and well done, it it out in a way that will excite the recipient. Use well branded swag and packaging to highlight your product and incite the law of reciprocity. Which is basically, you take care of me, and I will return the favor. 

If it seems like an investment, I’d like you to think about how people used to get the word out about their products. Is your ideal customer carrying around a magazine? Are they watching local television? If so, it might be worth it for you to spend thousands of dollars buying print ads, or radio and TV advertisements.

If your ideal client is scrolling on their phone during the day, then your investment is best made there. 

It’s also really helpful when the product is very well done. I think I may have mentioned to Mark of the Grill Dads that I collect beautiful cookbooks. Add in irreverent humor and I’m hooked.
