Hello Meridian is going electric! Our new ride is the stunning 100% electric audiofboise E-Tron.

You’ll probably recognize it around town, as we recently had signs2u add a perforated “Hello Meridian” back window decal. (We love working with this local company, they are so good at what they do.) 

Driving an electric car is completely new to us! And we’ve already had a lot of inquiries regarding electric bills, where to charge, what the car is like in general. We’ve only had it about a week, but so far we’re pretty much in love with it. It’s so quiet, smooth and POWERFUL! Who knew?!

As we learn about what it’s like to drive an electric car in the Treasure Valley, we will keep you up-to-date. This is obviously the way of the future, and electric cars are here to stay. So learning about how they work seems like a good move! We recently had a charging station installed in our garage, so that part is good to go. 

It sounds like we have snow in the forecast, so we will be interested to see how it maneuvers there. This car is like driving a computer, but that makes it all the more fun. 

So for those of you who drive an electric car, what advice do you have for us?

Are there any special tips about charging around town that we should know about? If you’ve been driving electric for a while, what is the impact to your electric bill in comparison to how much would normally pay in gas? And have you liked the transition from a gas powered vehicle, to an electric?

We’re slowly finding out that the Treasure Valley is not as behind in accessibility for electric cars as we once thought, and we are excited to learn more!
