We have a happy story today! 🌸 And we need your help to make it even better! thefreeflowerproject is an idea from a sweet Boise family to spread love to strangers. 

“Our Free Flower Project began with a seemingly crazy idea pitched to me by my 9-year-old twin boys. Because of the abundance of flowers growing in our garden, they informed me that we should give them away to random strangers driving through our neighborhood.

This idea of forcing flowers upon strangers only came after the original crazy idea, which was leaving bouquets of flowers on strangers’ doorsteps. Ding-dong-ditch style. As fun as that sounded, we collectively agreed on the second idea.

The Free Flower Project was quickly born and we have given away 500+ mason jar bouquets in 5 weeks!”

Oh my. We love this so much. It went from giving flowers to random strangers passing by, to taking them to hospice patients and teachers. What an amazing thing to do to bring smiles and joy to people in these incredibly trying times. 

This family has entered the “World of Joy” contest to try and win $25,000 in hopes to greatly expand the “free flower project” in the coming years.
