MERIDIAN ART WEEK is ‪September 3rd thru 7th‬!
We love Art week! The goal is to encourage downtown businesses & the community to take part in the arts through a number of various activities offered throughout the week & through ART DROP!!! -  which lasts all week long. There are tons of events happening all week, we will list some of our top picks.
The best part of Art Week….. THE meridianarts ART DROP!  A “Peer to Peer” Art exchange throughout the week.
🎨 CREATE a small piece of Art.
🎨 LABEL your creation with your name & info (Instagram handle or the like)
🎨 SHARE by hiding your art in Downtown Meridian. If you haven’t created your art, better start now! When you find art, share it with #meridianartdrop & #hellomeridian
Events happening:
‪▪️Tuesday thru Friday…. ART DROP. (Please limit findings to one or two daily)‬
thehappyhourhomemaker is offering $5 make and take art kits - great for Art Drop.
▪️Tuesday is the Meridian Art Week Kick-Off at the Meridian Community Center. ‪7pm‬ ‪201 E Idaho Ave‬
7:00 PM‬ Art Exchange & Dance Lessons! To participate in the art exchange: take a piece of art that you created, wrap it (brown paper, old wrapping paper, bag, etc.) & bring it with you to the kick off event. People will exchange art with one another, not knowing exactly what they will get!

▪️Wednesday evening is Plein Air Painters in meridiandowntown! Sounds like a nice reason to take a stroll.‬

▪️Artists' Reception at the Initial Point Gallery in meridianidaho City Hall 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM‬
▪️Rock Painting 44.east ‪5:00 - 8:00 PM‬
▪️ Art Walk Downtown - live music and Plein Air Painters from City Hall Plaza to Generations Plaza
🎨 Saturday:
▪️Chalk Art Competition in Generation's Plaza ‪10am to 11am‬. Maharlika Performing Arts will be performing.
▪️Plein Air Painters in Downtown Meridian from mid morning to afternoon.
▪️Concerts on Broadway ‪starts at 2:30‬ Meridian City Hall Plaza
