Yes! Did it last year. A great place is up by Crouch, ID, it’s about an hour away. All you need to do is buy a tag at a local gas station (last year it was $10), they'll provide you with a map of appropriate places to cut one down and you're good to go! If you go to the gas station in Idaho City just say you want to get a permit to cut down a Christmas tree and they will get you a permit. It’s $10 a tree and I think there is a family limit. My husband just went last week and got ours! regirose ▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️

There’s a Christmas tree farm up by lucky peak! You can get a tree cutting permit , they will tell you where you can cut your tree! Call fish and game . They can help you 🎄 zayanan

We went up to the Chevron in Garden Valley and bought a $10 permit to go cut one down.  They give you a list of rules.  Then we drove up some roads - hiked around a bit and found one to cut! So fun! sweettealiving ▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️ You can get a permit to cut one down at the chevron in horseshoe bend, then just head up past banks and there are plenty to choose from! nicoletgood ▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
