So what's going on this weekend Meridian? 🍅 First up, time to harvest! Is anyone else's garden going completely crazy with this hot weather? We are overflowing with tomatoes and basil. Served them up tonight with some fresh mozzarella and locally made bread from boisecoop. So good. What are you harvesting? (You can get the cool Idaho cutting board there as well.) Speaking of the boisecoop - September is National Hunger Action Month and Boise Co-op will match all donations made at their registers up to a total of $2,500 - all proceeds to the Idaho Food Bank. 💥Tomorrow is the 2017 scentsy Rock-a-Thon at the Scentsy Campus. Click the link in profile for more details.  FIREWORKS SHOW at 9 p.m. Parking at Scentsy Commons for the fireworks show starts at 8 p.m. and costs $10 a carload. You can earn a parking pass by participating earlier in the day in the Rock-a-Thon. All parking proceeds will go to The Salvation Army. 🎈Saturday is the Meridian Community Block Party - 10 AM - 5 PM - Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park. The full day event features inflatables, bubble soccer, a climbing wall, the Mascot Dance-off, food trucks, performances by local bands, theater groups, and a variety of vendors offering engaging activities. Special appearance by local animal expert Corbin Maxey on the Main Stage. The storybook characters from everafterenchantments will be there for photo ops and Princess parade. 🎨 Saturday starts the MERIDIAN ART DROP! To participate: create a small piece of art, label your creation with your information, and share by hiding your art in the Art Drop Zone. (Between Franklin and Fairview on Meridian Rd. and Main Street.) Label your art saying “You just found my artwork! It’s yours to keep!” - Add your Name and Instagram /website/Twitter - or whatever. Use Hashtags #Meridianartdrop (and #hellomeridian if you would like your discovered art featured here.) Art drop lasts for a full week, so make sure to drop your art during this time. 🏈 Oh, and one more thing…..FRIDAY IS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL! Rocky Mountain vs Meridian High School 7pm – 10pm!!!!
