It’s been 25 years since #Porsche launched the 996… The 996 had its of detractors in the past, mainly because of the so-called “fried egg” headlights and the water-cooled flat-six motor… For me though? It was - and still is - a special car. I won #LeMans with it in 2005, and enjoyed plenty of success with it in the USA. I even owned a 996 GT3 for a while! Anyway, I spoke to total911 about my memories of racing this remarkable car, which is absolutely a proper 911.
