We have been going to Hope now for about six years. We felt like God was talking to us about three years ago regarding changing the way we live our life. It was an Easter Sunday sermon when Pastor Mike was talking about materialistic things and focusing more of our time on what God wants us to do in life.⁣ ⁣
We don't know what it was about that specific sermon, but it just changed both of us in a very positive way. At that time we were living in a big house and working a lot of hours at our jobs. We realized that the big house and financial success did not provide true happiness, and the many hours spent at work were taking time away to volunteer at church and spend more time with loved ones.⁣ ⁣
We decided to make a change by downsizing our house, cutting back hours at work and moving toward living a simpler lifestyle. It has been one of the best decisions we have made together. Life continues to become more purposeful by spending more time and volunteering at church, deepening our faith, and growing closer in love with each other and spreading that love to others.⁣ ⁣
We are so grateful to be a part of Hope and call it home, and we hope that everyone who walks through those doors feel that too.⁣
