decided to post these on tiktok ln and they’re having a moment again so thought i’d let them have a moment here too 🥰 if it wasn’t obv i love @barbiethemovie so much. <3

i made these graphics after my first watch of the barbie movie, which changed my life. it was the wake up call i needed to realize how much i neglected my own well-being and let my past trauma affect the current day. i resonated with so much of the movie, particularly with discovering my purpose and what i was made for.

i’m just like barbie. i no longer live to be someone’s “idea,” i want to be the coming up with ideas. i want to live on through my ideas, such as buddy project, because those ideas are what changes others lives and live on much longer than any of us will.

i’m not ashamed to say i am on medication for my pmdd and adhd. people openly talking about their treatment and medication is not “glamorizing” having the conditions. if there’s anything being celebrated, it’s that i’m no longer severely depressed and passively sewersidal. to me, that isn’t something i should keep hidden and not talk about. 

it’s totally okay if medication doesn’t work for you, but we’re all different. we should support each other in finding what works best for all of us and not a one size fits all approach.
