## Caption

Following a pace set in the groove of 64 second laps in the early goings, the field assembled to reach as close as they could to 13:13.5 began to splinter. The Canadian, Ben Flanagan charged forward, gapping the others on a solo mission. Straining to show his teeth under his signature black mustache, he burst through the line in 13:35. A strong effort and convincing win, doing the hard work in the later stages to give himself a shot.
