## Caption

Following a fast opening lap of 57.6 by NCAA indoor bronze medalist, Shafiqua Maloney, Mariela Real bided her time, coming through in 59 seconds. Making a hard move deep into the second lap, she flexed her strength, never faltering down the stretch to win in 2:00.94, .02 off of her best time and the Mexican National Record she achieved earlier this month at the Stumptown Twilight.
