Fun fact: In 2013, the original rabbit for the mens 800m race got hurt last minute. Jonathan Marcus scrambled and found a pacer who was working on a farm that day. He agreed, drove a couple hours to Portland, arrive with less than an hour to warm up. Hit the 400m split exactly to the hundredth, and Tyler Mulder won in a whopping 1:44.7! Which is the meet record to this day. 😱😱
