Local residents of Phuket's Chalong community line up to receive food donations from 5 Star Marine in Phuket, Thailand. 5 Star Marine donated 150 bags to the Chalong Community through the help and advisement of the village head. Shaun Stenning and his company, 5 Star Marine, have been giving out "life bags" to vulnerable residents of Phuket, since the beginning of the Pandemic in early 2020. Shifting from his company's work in the tourism industry, Stenning first aimed for 5 Star Marine to provide relief efforts to his staff when Thailand shuttered its borders and then expanded their reach to several of the island's residents. In its 17th month, the "life bag" delivery operation reaches every corner of the island with basic food and cleaning products through the dedication of staff, and local and expat volunteers. Before the pandemic 90% of Phuket's GDP was reliant on international tourism.
