The Nashville community is grieving following a pair of tornadoes that ripped through Middle Tennessee on Tuesday evening, claiming 24 lives and leaving a path of destruction in their wake. Rescue and relief efforts remain underway as thousands of volunteers have come out to help clean up the hardest-hit areas in Putnam County. According to the National Weather Service, the EF-4 tornado that struck Cookeville with winds up to 175 mph was the first “violent tornado” in the Middle Tennessee area since April 2009. | March 3-4, 2020 | 📷: Brett Carlsen - brettinreallife | #GettyImagesNews #TennesseeTornado #Nashville #Tennessee #Cookeville #tornado #naturaldisaster
