"The day started with not a single cloud in the sky and bright sunshine that sliced through the normally boringly flat English winter daylight, bringing  with it the promise of a great sunset. A perfect day to do the picture of the starlings #murmuration at Blackpool Pier, which I had been planning for a few weeks. Sadly as the sun descended a bank of cloud came across the Irish Sea and flattened any colour as the birds began their dance.
