Samuel Leftenant, is taken past the gravesite of Iwo Jima flag raiser Rene Gagnon, during a full honors memorial service at #ArlingtonNational Cemetery in #Arlington, #Virginia. Leftenant became missing in action in 1945, after he and 2nd Lt. James L. Hall Jr. collided while escorting bombers over Austria. Hall bailed out from his damaged P51 Mustang before it crashed and became a prisoner of war, while Leftenant was never seen again.
