We made an AR filter that works with a dress*! Collab with AR artist yunuene and designer babyalpaca - I'll share tomorrow how we made it

*well technically it's a romper because I am dress-challenged

Did you know you can connect an AR filter to any image? ANY image. This feature is usually used for posters. But what I find really compelling is to use it for wearable fashion - 

I've seen a few hoodies and t-shirts with AR fashion (finch_wear makes awesome ones btw) but all the ones I've seen have a square or round image prominently on the center of a shirt. I wanted to make an experience where the image was "hidden" in an all-over print pattern on a dress. I also wanted to integrate the design of the AR experience to the physical dress itself and the human body (hence the mechanical heart and lungs underneath)

Massive credits to the talented team I worked with to bring this vision to life. I actually found yunuene by searching on Amazon for "augmented reality art book" (she has an amazing book of AR art called "Art Party") then I DM'd her on Instagram to ask her if she wanted to collab on this. She infuses AR with her oil paintings - her work is so unique and innovative.

I didn't know any fashion designers, so I put out a call on my IG stories asking for recommendations a few months back. babyalpaca responded and created this amazing romper design - he's also a talented musician (check out his music too!)

This project was MUCH more difficult than I had anticipated. We kept on running into unexpected challenges - more on that tomorrow
