#ThisIsGrassroots: "I remember watching my dad train high school players when I was about five or six years old. I’d be on the sidelines watching and as soon as the older kids would take a break I’d get on the court and try to replicate the moves they did. Fast forward to today -- now I’m one of the kids my dads giving breaks to since he’s my coach now. Being able to share the game of basketball while traveling all around the country with my dad means so much to me. It’s something I’m going to cherish forever. Two memories stick out to me in particular, actually. Last year my highschool team made it to the state championship only to lose. My dad was right there telling me how proud he was of me and I’ll never forget that. Later that year though we were able to have one of the best basketball moments of our lives -- winning the 16U UAA Championship. There’s been so many highs and lows already and there’s sure to be more to come. I’m just grateful I get to do it all with my father." - Jalen Jackson (w0rldwid3.j)
