Mrs. Barkwell has contributed 40 years of exemplary service to Howard University.  Prior to her retirement in 2017, she served as the chief of staff for Howard University’s 17th president, Dr. Wayne A. I. Frederick. Mrs. Barkwell is a true model of servant leadership 💙❤️
