When I worked as a national field director for the NAACP I use to read old files created by Vernon Jordan when he was the Georgia NAACP Field Director in the 60s. Now, to be a trustee of the same Howard University board he served on and tell him personally the impact he made on this girl he never met was a highlight of my life!
