During #EarthDay we celebrate conservation efforts on behalf of Oklahoma’s wildlife species, both common and rare. - The secretive crawfish frog is experiencing SEVERE declines across much of its range but appears to be thriving in Oklahoma! 

A team from Oklahoma State University has captured and tagged at least 83 individual crawfish frogs (a Species of Greatest Conservation Need) at Atoka WMA and has documented 299 breeding populations in 32 counties. Get more of the surveys details in our Outdoor Oklahoma Journal 🐸 in bio
