"Be proud of where you come from. The son of a waitress-turned-dental-assistant and mechanic-turned-auto-supply-store-manager, I never imagined I'd be EIC of one of the country's top legal journals. It's incredibly humbling, and at times I feel guilty when I compare my opportunities with those my parents had given how hard they work everyday. But I owe every success to them, and luckily law school has provided me a way to give back to them. I co-founded Penn's First Gen Professionals group, hoping that students with backgrounds like mine will use our network to find success in the legal profession. Also, I like to juggle!"⠀
