The Vikings have acquired former 2nd round pick PJ Hall from the Las Vegas Raiders for a 2021 conditional 7th rounder. 

With Pierce opting out, the Vikings are electing to bolster their defensive interior. Hall put up impressive numbers at the combine and had a prolific collegiate career at Sam Houston State. Staying in shape has held him back throughout his professional career, as he reportedly showed up to camp overweight, ultimately leading the Raiders to move on from him. I like this move as a low risk, high reward alternative for Pierces absence.
