Imagine a scenario where Cousins has an underwhelming season and leaves the Vikings brass with critical decisions to make. A new/future QB would be in the cards and this draft offers two local products who both are projected to go in the 1st round. It would take a lot for the Vikings to move in this direction but if they did, these two seem like logical fits for the Vikings and would give this fan base a jolt of new energy. None of this is meant to slight Cousins, I think he will have a great season but if things don’t go as planned I would like to see the Vikings move in this direction. Would love to see them be proactive instead of fall back with another bandaid QB option.
