We love hearing stories of the original 10th men, and we love the pictures that come with! This is from worldtravelista1 - a photo of her grandfather and his company. 

"My Grandpa Ernie and his “buddies” from the 10th Mountain Division. Or specifically from his company of the 85th Regiment, HQ 2nd Battalion.

It was such a treasure to find this photo online with the Denver Public Library some 5 years ago. The photo was taken January 1945, near Gavinana, - a small town in the mountains of North Tuscany, Italy. I have visited Gavinana a couple times - hoping to find this location , but no luck just yet.

This group photo was taken just before they saw any of the serious combat. Such young men - all around very early twenties. I just can’t even imagine. .
Grateful to all the service women and men who sacrificed so much for our freedoms today."
