Summer of 1995, I was 13 years young, standing in the yard with my Big brother & eight of his friends (in the Eastern District, Wilmington, N.C; Barclay Hills). A 1989 Volkswagen box shaped Jetta passes by... from the speakers it utters .... “To all the killaz & da hundred dollar billaz.” Immediately my ears captured the raw sound of timeless greatness; From that day moving forward to the unpredictable future of Rap Music... the Hip Hop Sample Game was changed forever.
