My heart is BROKEN!

11 years ago I was offered the opportunity of traveling to another country- something I had never been able to do. Being from a divorced low middle class family, having to spend thousands of dollars on a trip seemed impossible but I wanted to go. The opportunity knocked and I am glad I answered!

I am not Australian (just British decent- it’s close!) but deep down under- pun intended- I wish I was.
•
The people are some of the nicest people I have met- their humor is hilarious!
The accent- if your not Australian- is literally the best.
My “sweet 16” was in the Sydney Opera House- big deal for someone who likes to sing... A LOT! 
Australia is home to the delicious sugar cane (😋) but on the down side it is also home to vegemit (that shit is gross and if anyone tells you it taste like peanut butter, they clearly have never tried it 😂)

But what makes Australia “Australia” is the ANIMALS and the LANDSCAPE!
•
Seeing the horror is just heart breaking 😢. Just a few months ago it was green and now it’s red and orange 😭
•
Today, I made a donation to help the crisis in Australia- it wasn’t much because I don’t have much- but anything helps!

Here’s to hoping the fires and drought ends and the animals and landscape have a chance to bounce back!
