"I became a Community Advisor (CA) because I wanted to serve as a mentor for the incoming first-year students, show them what UC Davis is really about, and make them feel welcomed onto this campus. I really love to work with my residents at Scrub Oak because they remind me of me when I was a first-year at Davis and I just love to build those strong relationships with them. Although Covid has really impacted how freshmen get to experience their first year, I still try to plan events, host community hours and try to assist my residents in any way to make their first year still memorable."
