These young artists are inspiring action through art to stop plastic pollution. Today we are featuring fromthebowseat’s #ClimateHeroesInAction winners of the annual Ocean Awareness Contest, depicting the impact of the plastic pollution crisis on the environment, wildlife, and humankind. 

While it’s challenging to see the widespread harms of plastic pollution, it’s necessary to create the changes we need.  We applaud these youth for using their unique perspectives and creativity to spread awareness to help create change👏🏾🌊

2024 is a critical year to address the plastic pollution crisis. Beginning on April 23, the world leaders have entered into the fourth round of #PlasticsTreaty negotiations. It’s necessary that our leaders recognize that plastic is poisoning ALL OF US, especially people living on the frontlines of petro & plastics facilities that face toxic emissions. Studies continue to demonstrate that plastic and its toxic chemicals are in our food, the human body, and throughout the planet, creating a wave of toxic effects.

We invite young artists to help support more awareness on critical issues to protect people and the planet.
