Happy #worldburlesqueday y’all! I have been living in a beautiful world of make believe in Las Vegas for a little over 3 years. Covered in rhinestones, swaddled in feathers, and deeply submerged in the burlesque bubble. 

I am a professional “make-believer” where anything I can imagine just might actually happen. Where I constantly have hope but don’t get my hopes up. Maintaining a childlike wonder and imagination all while being a part of reality in this messed up world. I get paid to make people smile. It is the best job I have ever had in my ENTIRE LIFE and I get to do it with my friends. 

Teaching people how to put zippers in their corsets. Building costumes. Fostering confidence in my peers. Sharing everything I know. Showing up for others in non glamorous times. Having great mentors. Living down the road from Burlesque Legends. Actually running away to join the circus. Figuring out what the heck I am doing—all of it. Traveling to festivals. Getting #gypsyroselee ‘s last costume from my mom. Calloused knees, tear stained cheeks, and a group of fierce circus friends that would do anything for me. 

I’ve played pretend so hard that my dreams became my reality. Life was never as bad as it seemed at the time. Keep playing. Keep smiling. Keep loving even when you don’t feel loved. I’m rooting for you. Keep going. 🫶
