I revealed their passports for Mother’s Day. A 20+ year fight is finally over for us #freedom #immigrantstories #thejourney #1stvacation for me in 26years. You have no idea what people go through, to become a naturalized American. This is a choice that infinitely tested our strength. Hey officer XM 1138 in mesquite Texas... go fuck yourself for denying my sister her lawful right to pursue residency properly because you are... anyway, she deserved UNCONDITIONAL circumstances not some constant expirations. To all the lawyers that made a ton of money off us and I did the work, thanks for putting me through law school by means of your inadequate communication & basically screwing us too. All I needed was your letterhead. My sister had the talent and background achievements to prove being worthy of the visas #wegood. I’ve solved so many hard immigration cases since and helped so many people besides my mother, sister & myself.
To any American born who takes freedom for granted or as a joke... reconsider what you have in your hands:
Understand that the globe is grander than you and this country.
Understand that an immigrant is not allowed to EVER FORGET where they are from, when they entered, how many days they’ve been present in a country, what their rights are (if any) and above all phone numbers by heart; in the event something wrong happens. Understand that the fear of police or “Ice” is trauma not some light scare. Know that the sacrifices one makes are beyond your scope of imagination. We’ve made the hardest ones. I knew this day would come and often it seemed like it would never but I couldn’t give up. All of this was written in our book of life and made us who we are. A stronger family, knowing values in a new world where values & morals become extinct, maintaining loving marriages with traditional values. Staying committed to freedom.
