Woke up thinking this AM about the importance of having a TEAM. I think about everything we are trying to accomplish right now with gsafootball & gradymedia and one truth about it all is that NOTHING gets accomplished without those around me. ⁣
⁣
On a small scale, without Aniyha, EJ, or Madison, my time spent yesterday talking with Byron isn’t nearly as fruitful, clarifying, or energizing. On a large scale, without these 3 or any of the other hands we have on deck, the entire needle doesn’t get moved at all. It can be easy to be the owner of a company and 1.) try to get it all done yourself, or 2.) pretend like you get it all done yourself, but the reality is neither is a recipe for success or peace of mind. I used to have this mindset until I understood that the ole phrase, “together everyone achieves more”, is cliche, yet so true.⁣
⁣
With that said, my encouragement today is to take an honest assessment of those around you. Are those who you’re spending time with daily, weekly, are they helping you manifest greatness in your life? Are they holding you accountable? Are they challenging you to be better? Or are they actually playing an active role in hindering your growth? Are they “yes” people who only tell you what you want to hear? Or do they care enough to tell you the hard truth when it needs to be shared? Do you have people around you to begin with, and if not, what are YOU doing to change that? ⁣

All questions that need to be assessed, processed, and answered personally if you ever want to see greatness in your life. We become who we keep, so who are you keeping around you, and why? This needs to be known if you desire to stand on the other side of mediocrity. Just my two cents. Let’s get to it! ⁣
