Sydney Roberts, campus junior and chief of staff to ASUC president Chaka Tellem, is running for 2023-24 ASUC President.

“I believe in championing leaders who selflessly demonstrate a desire to serve others,” Roberts said in an email. “It humbles me to be able to lead an office made up of so many brilliant, creative, and dedicated students who share my passion for improving student’s experiences. I feel grateful to be surrounded by people who share my desire to ensure this university supports its students.”

Roberts noted her unique position as second-in-command to the current president has allowed her to partner with many ASUC entities and numerous Senate offices, providing her with institutional insight.

Her platforms center on student belonging, professional development, barriers to basic needs and addressing the Bay Area’s ongoing climate crisis.
