Whoever said transition/retiring out of your sport would be easy? It’s #MenalHealthAwarenessMonth and it’s only right that we bring you relatable and real content for all athletes and support you through your journey. 

We hope that after watching this video we remind you that you are not alone and we’re developing a community for athletes around the globe to not only to share their stories but also create a safe space.

- Loss of Identity ➡️ Identity crisis 
- Anxiety, depression
- Isolation
- Substance abuse 
- Addictions
- Tunnel Vision Syndrome 
- Perfectionism 
- Feeling hopeless + lack of self-worth 
- Anger 

Advice to Athletes in Their Season of Transition 👇🏾💛

- Be kind + gentle with yourself through this shift.
- It’s okay to ask for help. You are NOT mentally weak. You are human!
- You don’t have to have it all figured out or have a clue what’s next. 
- Lean on your community + loved ones.
- Seek out forms of therapy that work for you [i.e. talk therapy, art therapy, music therapy + more]
- Spend time in nature + with yourself. This is the perfect time to find the new you!
- Remember, healing is not linear.
