July is Lake Appreciation Month, and to celebrate we will be sharing a series of posts about the unique features of and challenges facing lakes, and how nanobubbles can offer an innovative solution to lake management.

Harmful algal blooms on lakes commonly occur as surface scums and “blooms.” Most occur in warm, still or slow moving, green-water lakes during summer and early fall months. Harmful algal blooms are formed by photosynthetic organisms called cyanobacteria, or, ‘blue-green algae’.

Decreased recreational use and aesthetic value of waters due to toxicity, mats of algae, and foul odor are only some of the problems associated with harmful algal blooms. The toxins produced by harmful algal blooms are also a concern for human health.

Moleaer’s nanobubble technology is a sustainable lake and surface water management tool used around the world.

Nanobubbles increase dissolved oxygen and enhance nature’s natural oxidative processes to make your lake more resilient to algae blooms. Nanobubbles also produce a natural, mild oxidant that combats algae directly and helps reduce the availability of the nutrients that cause nuisance blooms.

Moleaer nanobubble generators are simple to install and maintain, produce healthier lakes and are a sustainable, complementary treatment to traditional lake management methods.
