The DePaulia and ladepaulia won big this weekend at Media Fest! We were so proud to send representatives to the journalism conference in Washington D.C. last week.

Our team was honored with the Best of Show award for our most recent ghost train issue! We are first in the nation for four-year colleges with more than 15,000 students in the newspapers and newsmagazine category. Pretty cool!

The DePaulia was also named a Pacemaker finalist by the Associated College Press, the most prestigious award given by the organization.

Several of our reporters were recognized with individual awards:
- Kiersten Riedford won the first place Pinnacle Award for Best Coverage of Faith
- Nadia Carolina Hernandez won the third place Pinnacle Award for Best General News Story
- Lawrence Kreymer won third place for Best Sports Game Story
- Lily Lowndes won an honorable mention Pinnacle Award for Best Social Media Main Page
- Nika Schoonover, Amber Stoutenborough, Nadia Carolina Hernandez and Kiersten Riedford won an honorable mention Pinnacle Award for Best Special Section - More Than Four Pages
- Erik Uebelacker won a Pacemaker finalist award for Best Story: Column
