When my aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer 20 years ago, my family and I were shocked and terrified. The idea that we may lose my aunt kept us all scared until we knew what the diagnosis was. 
She was scared too, but also incredibly strong. My aunt new once she went through the treatment she would lose her hair, but she embraced it and was excited for her natural hair color to grow in! She was always a blonde to me growing up! She leaned on her husband, her family and her friends and remained living her life to the fullest.
I’m so proud to say that nearly a 20 year survivor after chemotherapy and a double mastectomy my aunt is cancer-free and still living life to the fullest! She loves her family and friends.
