Attacks on journalists are attacks on freedom of expression.

More than ever, we need reliable sources of information & press freedom.

“Without facts, we cannot fight mis- and disinformation. Without accountability, we will not have strong policies in place,” said #UnitedNations Secretary-General on Friday's #WorldPressFreedomDay.

"Without press freedom, we won't have any freedom.

A free press is not a choice, but a necessity."

Today & every day, join unesco in defending journalism & standing up for democracy.
