Often the will to win can actually get in the way of performance. With certain individuals wanting something badly enough can cause anxiety, doubt, and worry. Over time you can train to relieve that hurdle, but why not simplify the thoughts for your people, and allow them to grow through the process. Often times a focus on enjoying the process of playing, and or serving another teammate can be more powerful than a focus on performing
