This moment ⬆️has me wrecked 😭😭😭

 As we were seven steps into our #mendedmens March in downtown Tulsa this morning, this courageous young man walks right up next to me and asks, “How do you keep a good mood on a bad day?”… I looked down at him a little perplexed…trying to see how such a poignant question was being asked by an adolescent… I asked him back..” what do you mean by that my man?” And he said “sometimes when I look you up on YouTube to watch your sermons, there’s a lot of people that talk bad about you and say mean things, but I always see you smiling and loving on people… I know that can be hard…and I want to know how to do that!” I knew in that moment I was supposed to be H.O.T. (Humble Open Transparent) with him. 

This was my response….⬆️

An exchange like this just further deepens the reason why WE  have to take our place and COME OUT OF HIDING  as mended men. THE NEXT GENERATION NEEDS US DESPERATELY!

It was a privilege and an honor to pour out of my “OVERFLOW” and share this vulnerable moment with this young world changer and his friend (who by the way…it was his first time ever coming to anything like this , AND HE LOVED IT! 😊 

We will teach them how to handle hard and point them towards Jesus

I’m still gathering my self because today hundreds of men gathered, prayed for our city, led by the spirit and built relationship with each other… which I am convinced is going to transform so many other peoples lives #markmywords© MENDED MEN ARE ON THE RISE 📈
