We'll take "Things That Are Named After Other Things" for 500. Grapefruit. A fruit, yes, but why a "grape" one?🍊When it was first discovered, it was nicknamed "the forbidden fruit." Then it was called the shaddock. Then, when people saw them growing in clusters on the trees, resembling grapes, they named it "grapefruit."
