Sofia Margarita Perez-Baux is our next SoC Senior Spotlight! 🎓✨ 

Sofia will graduate with a B.S.C. in #InteractiveMedia and minors in #MediaManagement and Studio Arts. During her time at univmiami, she co-founded diseartorg, was the Co-Design Chair for dscumiami, and was part of ktp.miami. 

Her favorite professor was Lorena Lopez (artdelolo)! Sofia describes Professor Lopez as, “a kind, helpful, and wonderful mentor who believed in me and made me feel supported.” 🧡💚 

She is also grateful to uminteractive department chair Kim Grinfeder, who believed in her when she said her goal was to be a “girl boss.” Sofia says, “he provided me with the guidance to be just that.”

She loved finding tech communities on campus through ktp.miami and the VESL. “Being surrounded by talented, driven individuals serves as continual inspiration even as I enter post-grad. I recommend that everyone find their peeps. It’s never too late to put yourself out there!” shared Sofia. 🙌 

She is excited to begin working with xennialdigital as an XR Project Manager after graduation!
