I started seeing a lot of videos about refill and zero-waste stores in other cities and after a lot of research, I realized that Pittsburgh didn't really have a dedicated refill and zero-waste store yet, especially for home and personal care essentials. In April 2021, I resigned from my corporate engineering position to pursue The Refillery full time!" ๐Ÿงด What is the inspiration behind The Refillery? "We know how hard it can be to break up with "Shmamamazon" and other big box stores. We know how hard it can be to actually find sustainable alternatives to your everyday essentials and how time consuming it is to sift through all the greenwashing! This was part of the inspiration behind The Refillery! We've done the work for you and we've curated local, ethical, and sustainable home and personal care essentials. Our mission is to reduce single-use packaging by making reusing and refilling easy, affordable, and accessible.
