"Alissa and I met at a salon that we previously worked at together. We knew we wanted to have a nail salon that was inclusive and inviting to all types of clientele, so that’s when we decided to open our salon, Nails on Point, in 2019. We offer different nail services and pedicures! We specialize in gel manicures with hand painted nail art."⁠

✨ What gets you excited to go to work every day?⁠
"We have amazing clients. That’s how we stay successful as a nail salon- we get to come in to work everyday and laugh and create art on nails all day long. How could you NOT be excited to giggle and make people feel good about themselves?! It’s hard to even consider being a nail tech a ‘job’ because it’s so much fun."⁠

✨ What's something we should know?⁠
"Being in the salon industry, I think people really look at salons as always being in competition with each other and that is just not the case anymore. We love knowing that we have so many salons in the Pittsburgh area that we can refer clients to. We follow different salons on Instagram for inspiration and new techniques and I couldn’t be more grateful that other women in the industry feel the same way."⁠

"We started a book club in July 2022 and it’s so much fun!! It’s called “Books On Point” and we choose a different book every month and then meet at fun places in Pittsburgh to chat about it! Anyone and everyone is welcomed to join at anytime!"⁠
