Joe and Jocelyne Chahine started pitaland in 1969 to bring a taste of authentically prepared Lebanese food and pita bread to Pittsburgh.⁠
⁠
"We have an eat in cafe, grocery store, food truck and a factory where we bake pita daily and distribute it to businesses in the Pittsburgh area and surrounding.⁠

Joe's favorite part of coming in everyday is working with his 4 children who help run the business today, Aleen, Danny, Donna and Joe Jr. He also loves sitting outside and greeting every person that comes in and treating them to a piece of hot pita right off of the conveyor belt."⁠

What's next for Pitaland?⁠
"We're always looking to grow and expand. Our catering is really booming and we just purchased a catering vehicle so that we can start delivering on site and offering a more full service catering service."⁠
