2nd Runner-Up, photogenic award, and spirit award at Miss Delaware USA last weekend. When I competed last year, I thought it was my last shot due to an age limit (that I would’ve aged out of by only 14 days!) So when a few months ago the Miss Universe organization announced the age limit being lifted completely, I knew I had to come back. We’re all on our own paths and timelines, and I’m so happy to see that being embraced. It’s such a good feeling to know now that when my pageant journey ends it will be on my terms and not because of how old I am. I only started competing in this system 2 years ago, so I don’t see myself giving up any time soon. 💕

One of my favorite things about pageantry is the friendships you make. Even when you don’t win, you’re still SO happy because you get to see one of your friends have their dreams come true right in front of you. Alysa is so incredible and I know she’s going to do amazing things this year. 💕

A huge thanks to thebronzecollective_ for my tan. I drove 2 hours because I know they’re the best for pageants!! I also would love to thank tesslerfit for helping me get my body back. Also a huge thank you to everyone that has supported me on this journey ❤️

I started pageantry to be the representation that I didn’t see as a queer woman. I think we all can relate to a time where we didn’t do something because we were too afraid of not fitting in. So when people ask me why I’m so passionate about pageantry, it’s because I’m doing it for the inner child in me that wasn’t able to. I also do it for all the other young people scared of their identity to show that our lives are not limited because of who we are, and there is an entire community of people who accept and support you. #ItGetsBetter ❤️🌈
